PublishingPageContent
In this play-based day visit your students will get to explore our adventure campsite and do all the things that we do when we go camping. Setting up shelters, cooking in our camp mud kitchen, resting and relaxing and enjoying the wildlife are all part of the important work that they will do.

Curriculum links

This program will uncover each students’ unique skills and capacity as they demonstrate through important play their Self-awareness, Self-management, Social awareness and Social management.

Logistics considerations

  • At least two lead up sessions at your school are recommended to prepare your students for the experience. Your Stanley river teacher will be in touch with resources to help guide these lessons.
  • Parent helpers are greatly appreciated, a ratio of 1 adult: 6 students is fantastic. We will provide the billy tea!
  • This program is best suited for the cooler months of the year (May – August)
  • We can accommodate one full class of campers at a time for this program.
