Listening to Country (1-2 days)
Field study program for senior school Biology/Geography students undertaking QCAA (IA2)
Listening to Country immerses senior students in field studies around Lake Somerset, exploring revegetation and ecosystem change on former farmland. Students collect rich, site-specific data to investigate biodiversity and land cover, supporting their QCAA IA2 assessments while deepening their connection to Country through meaningful, hands-on environmental research.

This program extends on the day visit as students deepen their connection and appreciation for the environment and strengthen their team and personal resilience by camping out at Stanley River EEC. Give your students an experience they will never forget and promote your biology and geography programs by including the multi day canoe trek as part of your curriculum.
