Undertaking scientific, personal, social, and adventure learning experiences and engaging directly with Traditional Owners and Elders these young people connected with deep and dynamic cultural heritage and values and became true River Ambassadors.
The Bunya to the Bay project commenced in 2006 with the inagural journey running as part of the River festival. Currently the project is in a review and planning phase, taking time to reflect and reconnect with the organising group of Elders in preperation for the next journey in 2025.
